True to our heritage, yet constantly evolving

Over two decades ago we formed First Sports International. Our purpose: to provide technological software know-how to the sports industry, utilising our expertise to save costs, increase revenues and support the sports organisations we served, to perform better.

In these twenty plus years, three things have remained constant – our purpose, our leadership, and adapting to change. Change is constant and presents both opportunities and challenges, none more so than for technology companies. Consider that back then, there was no Cloud, no iPhones, no apps and no 4G - four fundamental aspects of our software solutions today!

The key to our longevity and success in the sports and leisure industry can be surmised in 3 words –partnership, innovation and flexibility.

Partnership – immersed in the industry

Our most precious equity is the long-term relationships with our clients. We proudly support the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC - best known as the venue that hosts the Wimbledon Championships), the Rugby Football Union and The Football Association, England Netball, the Premier League and Leisure United. The longevity of these relationships has been based on mutual understanding. We embed ourselves in these organisations, working together to bring technical savvy to solve their challenges. Utilising their first-hand experience, our software is built by the operator, for the operator. Decades upon decades of poignant experience, gaining knowledge and insights that have directed future endeavours across our client-base.

Innovation – re-engineering state-of-the-art

Indicative of our affiliation with industry, former Head of IT at The Football Association, and now our Chief Information Officer Rory O’Boyle, joined the First Sports development team in 2011, and has implemented innovative data consolidation strategies and set out of a roadmap for the evolution of First Sports products and modules. Embracing new technologies, identifying their usefulness, and implementing them to evolve the robust and proven data platforms we had, to the end-to-end, cloud-based software solutions, we now provide, connecting NGBs, clubs and gyms members, in real time, anytime.

Flexibility – we never stand still

A constant evolution of technology built around the needs of users and the agility to adapt to constant change. That’s flexibility to us. It’s how we provide distinctive, user-focussed software solutions, now in use by over 10 million users.
