It certainly
feels strange writing a year in review blog about company highlights and
achievements having experienced and embraced the uncertainty of the COVID_19
pandemic in both our professional and personal lives in 2020. Who would have
predicted a year like this?
I feel my team and I have delivered stability and reliability along with a blend of innovation to ensure both staff and clients are fit for today and the future.
The consistent theme throughout all deliverables this year is ‘connecting’ - connecting people and organisations, via the power of technology. The connected highlights I would like to share include;
Launch of England Rugby’s Age Grade Player Registration Portal
Ahead of the new season the team launched an online management portal for parents and guardians to be in control of a child aged 6-18 years unique individual record on England Rugby’s Game Management system. The cloud-based central database contains players personal details, medical information, and emergency contact details. Thisprovides more consistent, accurate and up-to-date information for clubs and the RFU to help players and parents enjoy their Age Grade Rugby and transition into the adult game.
Pilot of RUN.IT our new gym/leisure management solution
Working alongside leading leisure operators we have designed an end-to-end flexible software solution that helps operators maximise performance across their entire leisure organisation. Piloted in a chain of 10 leisure clubs, each club with a turnover of between £100k and £2m and more than 300,000 unique registrations – it has proven robustness and has impacted on efficiencies.
Launch of England Netball Club Websites
We have added a module that enables England Netball clubs to build their own club website. It is asimple template driven website builder that enables the club to profile themselves, add and remove content such as fixtures, results and more.
Upgraded England Netball registration system
Just like England Rugby, England Netball players, parents and guardians can now register and update their individual records on the England Netball Game Management system.
And of course, the final highlight should recognise the investment we have made to how we look, with a new brand, website and launch of social media channels.
Who truly knows what 2021 will bring, but I am immensely proud of the First Sports team who have continued to deliver software solutions and technical support to all our clients during such an unpredictable year.
So, Thank You to all staff, clients, and partners I wish a Merry Christmas to you all and look forward to connecting with you in the new year!
